World Piano Day

From March 29 2023, 2022 to December 31 2024

Leiria UNESCO City of Music celebrates the WORLD PIANO DAY on March 29th, through the presentation of the musical project THE SOUND OF YOUR NAME – THE PIANO GOES TO SCHOOLS, divided into 2 school cycles, distributed throughout the biennium 2023-2024. The project is aimed at the school community in the municipality, and has the following objectives:

1: Stimulate the taste for music.

2: Strengthen the creative atmosphere and open it to new visions focused on the various artistic and cultural areas, with the contribution of the school community.

3: To promote cultural mediation actions, that stimulate and frame the participation of young people in cultural and artistic programs, through the realization of 05 actions “THE PIANO GOES TO SCHOOLS”, distributed among a total of 5 schools.

There will be a Piano at the location, and around it the students from each school will be challenged to play the keys corresponding to the letters of their name, followed by uploading a video and sending it to the Creative City of music.
