The International Competition of Young Composers

The Center of Contemporary Music of Sofia Gubaidulina supported by The Union of Composers of Russia and The Department of Culture of Kazan is honored to announce The International Competition of Young Composers named after Sofia Gubaidulina, dedicated to 90thanniversary of Sofia Gubaidulina.
The competition will take place from July 1 of 2020.
Main goals of the Competition are to stimulate and support contemporary music movement within young composers in Russia and beyond. The Competition itself is made for young composers (19 -38 y.o.) and provide anonymity of their projects protected by personal passwords and easier accessibility with no contribution.
The winners of the competition are awarded with diplomas of laureates and cash prizes in each nomination. Furthermore their projects will be performed at the Gala concert in Kazan city by the New Music Chamber Orchestra, the La Primavera Chamber Orchestra, the Kazan Folk Orchestra, soloists of Kazan and the Moscow Ensemble of Contemporary Music.
