The 10th International Festival of “Daf Navai Rahmat”

The festival was held by the participation of different groups of Daf players throughout Iran and some bands from Kurdistan of Iraq and Afghanistan in two ranges of adults and adolescents from 23rd to 25th July 2022, in the Cinema Bahman of Sanandaj. The festival’s referees included five masters of music in Iran, Bizhan Kamkar, Ahmad Khaktinat, Hadi Montazeri, Masoud Habibi, and Alireza Ghosi.

The assemblage of Daf players in the Ferdowsi Pedestrian Street in Sanandaj was one of the parts of the festival which was welcomed enthusiastically by all people.

 The participation of various music players from different cultures and places of Iran was acknowledged that the cultural and art event could be a meeting place to encounter and converge differences to develop and enforce the local and native cultures.

During the successful years of holding the Daf Festival, it has been converted to a public festival, and it has been welcomed by a large number of audiences during nine sections of holding. This year, participation in the festival was faced to rise in the range of 15%.

The winners of the festival included: in the women part, Shiva Momayez from Isfahan, Fatemeh Robatjazi from Mashhad, and Sima Rezaee from Yazd in the part of adults solo playing. Negar Fathi from Isfahan, Nasim Amiri from Kerman, and Shaghayegh Amiri from Khuzestan were winners from adolescent solo playing.

 In the Men part: Hamidreza Tavakoli from Mazandaran, Parsa Moradi from Kurdistan, and AmirReza Bayat from Zanjan in the adolescent solo players. Mohammad Moradi, Seyed Mobin HosseiniNezhad from Kurdistan, and Mohammad Fathi from Mazandaran were the winners in the adult solo players.

In the Band section, the winners included: Janan Band headed by Ghazal Mirazaee from Khuzestan, Avin Band headed by Maryam Golesorkhi from Yazd, and Mim Band headed by Mosayeb Mirdadi from Fars.

The winners of singing “Mouloodi Khani” included: Bidel Band headed by Ali Pourataee from Khorasan, Zhark Band headed by Hamzeh Tarkeh from Kurdistan, and Bidad Band headed by Reza Aminirad from Khorasan.

In the international part of the festival, two bands from Kurdistan of Iraq and Afghanistan were honored.

In the highlighted part of the festival, the playing of Shimshal and Daf in the local tune from Boukan headed by Mohamad Ghahremannejad, Divan and Daf headed by Saman Ghaderpour from Sardasht, and Ghogha Band headed by Shayan Adinehzadeh from Boujnoord have been honored, also the mentioned above referees of the festival have been honored at the end of the event.
