Kurdish Folk Music accompanies Carpet Exhibition

The first Kurdish carpet exhibition was held at Asif’s house with a musical performance.

This exhibition, which was organized by the private sector and Egin Studio and supported by the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Tourism and the Creative City Secretariat, was a meeting place for lovers of Kurdish culture and art, especially carpets, for ten days.

Carpet is one of the most important components of Iranian and Kurdish culture, and Sanandji carpet is famous in the world. Carpet weaving artists have long drawn their feelings and imaginations in the form of beautiful designs of carpet weaving, and besides creating beautiful designs, they have performed music and beautiful sounds, which in our culture is called “Bartawnanah” which is a kind of Music is mixed with the art of carpet weaving.

Besides this exhibition, which was held in one of the most beautiful mansions in the city, the art of photography was very popular along with beautiful carpets. This event is a manifestation of the cooperation of the private, public and civil sectors, which was able to attract the attention of many citizens of Sanandaj and various tourists from other cities of Iran and became a source of attraction for tourists to the beautiful city of Sanandaj.
