kind of MILES

Bolzano

PAOLO FRESU’S THEATRICAL AND MUSICAL OPERA DEDICATED TO MILES DAVIS AND ON STAGE IN BOLZANO

Tetro Stabile Bolzano (TSB) presents its last production. “kind of Miles” is a theatrical and musical piece written, composed and performed by Paolo Fresu that evokes the creative and visionary universe of Miles Davis, the immense musician who died in 1991. It’s a musical journey that will  retrace the life and music of Davis, his sound universe and his artistic and human relationships. The piece is directed by Andrea Bernard.

The scenography is a visual project with an innovative language that is intertwined with the narrative and music. Following the experimental nature and striving for research that has always distinguished Davis approach, technology becomes part of the performance, interacting with the images. Thanks to the collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering of the Free University of Bolzano, in some moments of the show biometric and acoustic signals are used to generate some components of the visual narrative: in “kind of Miles” emotions and sounds take literally shape and movement.
With Paolo Fresu on stage: Bebo Ferra, electric guitar, Christian Meyer, drums, Dino Rubino, piano and Fender Rhodes, Federico Malaman, electric bass, Filippo Vignato, trombone, multieffects, synth, Marco Bardoscia double bass, Stefano Bagnoli, drums.
