The international festival “Congress of Dixielands and Ethno-jazz Ensembles from BRICS Countries in Russia” was held in Kazan from August 28 to 30. This bright event brought together more than 150 thousand guests.

For three days, Kazan became a place of attraction for all music lovers. Representatives of 14 countries of the world, including Brazil, Colombia, Congo, Cuba, Ecuador, Egypt, Gambia, India, Iran, Jamaica, Madagascar, Nigeria and Russia gathered together to share their creativity. Throughout the festival, which took place at many venues, 144 talented performers from both Russia and abroad appeared on stage. Festive events were presented on the central streets and picturesque parks, offering the public a variety of day and evening programs filled with an atmosphere of joy and fun.

On August 29, the festival was opened by a parade of Dixieland bands that filled the city spaces with lively melodies. The musicians, dressed in memorable extravagant costumes, marched through the streets, performing dynamic and life-affirming compositions that charged everyone around with positivity. On the evening of August 29 and 30, a two-day jazz marathon took place, which fascinated the audience on the main stage near the Galiaskar Kamal Theater, lasting for 5 hours and giving unforgettable impressions.

The public listened to the performances of the musicians on the “Vdohnovenie” pleasure boat and on a boat on the Kaban Lake, on an excursion bus and watched films about jazz in the open air.

Over the course of three unforgettable days of the festival, 22 city venues turned into stages for exciting performances and meetings, immersing the audience in a creative atmosphere. On the last day, there was a grand concert near the Galiaskar Kamal Theater. The “BRICS International Orchestra” performed, bringing together all the festival ensembles. This magnificent finale became a bright chord of the music event, uniting the hearts and minds of everyone present.
