Adelaide UNESCO City of Music Celebrated International Jazz Day

Adelaide

Adelaide UNESCO CITY of Music celebrated International Jazz Day on 30th April 2018 with a special performance at Adelaide Festival Centre, which showcased some of Australia’s finest jazz performers curated by Adelaide’s Ross McHenry and Mark Simeon Ferguson.

Ross and Mark were joined by some of Australia’s finest jazz performers including the award winning Anita Wardell (UK), Ross McHenry Trio (featuring pianist Brenton Foster, saxophonist Adam Page and drummer Josh Baldwin), COMA (Creative Original Music Adelaide) featuring Alex Taylor (Trombone), Sam Cagney (Guitar) and Lyndon Gray (Double Bass), and some of the next generation Jazz students from Elder Conservatory Jazz School. Celebrating International Jazz Day with a program of great South Australian talent, played such an important role in showcasing the diversity of Jazz as an artform, and further showcases Adelaide as a UNESCO City of Music.
