The 1st edition of ππππππππ – π ππ¬ππ’π―ππ₯ ππ πππππ’π¬ will be held in Leiria, between August 14th and 19th The festival, organized under the artistic direction of the Ensemble de Metais de Leiria, in partnership with the Leiria Philharmonic Association and the Domingos Sequeira Secondary School, combines a strong training component with a series of unmissable concerts, in a celebration of the versatility of brass instruments such as the euphonium, trombone, horn, trumpet and tuba. The line up includes the participation of national and foreign artists, from the most diverse cultural and artistic backgrounds, such as Angelo Kritikos, Guido Segers, Matias Ignacio PiΓ±eira, Voltaic Brass, Stepan Schultz, Bernardo Pinhal, Henrique Brites, Hugo Assunção, JosΓ© Guilherme Neves, Pedro Santos, Maria Brites, Mauro Martins, Ricardo Carvalhoso, Tiago Pagaimo and SΓ©rgio Carolino.
The artistic composition being presented reveals, in its genesis, an academic matrix, with ‘marterclasses’ and ‘whorkshops’, for which registration is open (https://docs.google.com/…/1FAIpQLSfnwMypo7nxxe…/viewform).
The festival is part of the 2022 program of Leiria Cidade Criativa da MΓΊsica-Dialogues with Music, and falls within the following axes: – Artistic and Administrative Training of the local fabric and Stimulus; – Creation of multidisciplinary projects aimed at the economic sustainability and internationalization of Leirienses Artists, in a joint effort of decentralization.
